Named as one of the 20 top drinks for summer 2013
Qcumber NewsThis soft drink is created from a blend of natural cucumber essence and sparkling spring water and is the prefect antidote to the more sickly fizzy drinks often available in pubs and on the supermarket shelves. QCumber Redesigns To Celebrate First Year
About Q-cumberQcumber, the award-winning, unique and refreshing soft drink created from a blend of natural cucumber essence and gently sparkling spring water, is celebrating its first anniversary with a design makeover and a new bottle size.
Alongside the existing 750ml glass bottle, a new 330ml bottle size is being launched; this will open up new usage occasions for the cucumber-flavoured drink and appeal to on-trade stockists preferring single-serve sizes.
To better reflect the cool, fresh taste of Qcumber, the brand will now be available in clear glass bottles and will also benefit from enhanced label graphics which will help communicate its unique flavour.
In addition to the new bottle, QCumber has announced a minor revision of its recipe to give it an improved taste.
This year has been a busy one for the brand, the highlight of which was receiving the ‘Outstanding New Product Innovation’ award at IFE13, the international food and drink event held biennially in London.
Qcumber impressed judges so much that not only was it named ‘Best Drinks Category Product Innovation’, but it went on to fight off stiff competition and win the overall innovation award across all product categories.
Speaking about the product, Qcumber founder Graham Carr-Smith says: “It’s been a wonderful year for Qcumber and we’re really pleased to be making these developments in a concerted effort to maximise the brand’s potential. Encapsulating the idyll of the quintessential British summer, Qcumber is a unique product and is perfect for on-trade outlets looking to offer their customers a great-tasting and unusual offering.
“Qcumber is made from 100% natural ingredients and is free from artificial sweeteners, colours, preservatives and flavourings, and contains around a quarter of a cucumber per 750ml bottle. It’s wonderful as a soft drink in its own right and is also great used as a mixer with gin or vodka, or even as a cocktail ingredient. We’ve had a fabulous first 12 months and, with the current enhancements set to build appeal further, the brand is in great shape to go on to even greater levels of success. Consumers are always on the look-out for something new and interesting when it comes to drinks, and smart operators will spot that Qcumber has the potential to be a great addition to their range”, concludes Carr-Smith.

Qcumber at the Vitality Show
Qcumber NewsQcumber proved to be a big hit with customers at the Vitality Show at Earl’s Court this weekend with record numbers of visitors turning up to sample the new cucumber drink.
There were Qs in more ways than one as more than 8,000 samples and 300 bottles of Qcumber were guzzled over four days during the health and wellbeing show in West London. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and resulted in large queues at the stall and numerous mentions on social media outlets.
Brand spokesperson, Graham Carr Smith, said: “Qcumber proved an enormous success with everyone who tried it at the Vitality Show, and it was particularly exciting to see the customers trying it for the first time as it’s such a refreshingly different drink.
“The reception was outstanding with many people saying it was the best drink at the show, so now we’re looking into getting it on to supermarket shelves to make it more accessible to these newly acquired fans”
Qcumber recently won two awards at the International Food and Drink Event; Best Drinks Product Innovation and the Outstanding New Product Innovation at IFE13.
